The Usera neighborhood in southern Madrid features numerous adjacent parks with pleasant paths for running. Highlights include Parque de la Pradolongo & Parque Emparatriz Maria de Austria. Can combine with Parque Lineal del Manzanares.
Beijing’s largest park and one of the quietest places for running in central Beijing. It’s very green, with many paved paths interlacing the park. Note: admission required. A path connects to Honglingjin Park, which has a 2 km path around a lake.
'Parco Nord' is one of the largest green spaces near Milan's urban area and a great place for a run. Great mix of landscaped & natural paths. Mainly open, with some woods/shade. Two running tracks!
A 3.4 mile section of The Atlanta BeltLine trail in central Atlanta. Accessible from Piedmont Park/Midtown area. Best section is 2 miles from Piedmont Park south to Irwin St. Festive, with lots of sights & places to grab a bite.
In the west end of Atlanta, the best bet for running is the Historic West End neighborhood, and the Westside Beltline Trail, which binds the neighborhood and stretches for 3.5 miles between University Ave. and Washington Park.
Good running in Atlanta's newest park and largest greenspace. 5 miles of paved trails, combination of woods & grassy meadows. Can combine with Proctor Creek Greenway, a 2.5-mile paved multi-use trail.
Sunset Cliffs in Ocean Beach is a great place to run in San Diego, staying high on windy cliffs with great views. A real treat at sunset. At the end of the road, hike down the cliffs onto the beach.
Some scenic, gentle trail running in the Sorrento Hills/Mira Mesa area! Nice variety of canyon/ranch type terrain, gorgeous live oaks and sycamores. Easiest is the 5+ mile Los Peñasquitos Canyon Trail. There are also more challenging options.
5,800-acre regional park located in La Mesa. The 3-mile path along Lake Murray is popular with runners. There are also 30+ miles of trail running, ranging from the easy Grassland Loop to a 3 mile climb to the top of Cowles Mountain.
