The 15-mile crushed rock Prairie Sunset Trail is a lovely product of the Rails to Trails program, spanning from the area of Pawnee Prairie Park/Eisenhower Airport west to Garden Plain. With railroad tressels and covered bridges running through forest, farm, and stream, it’s a beautiful spot for a long or short out-and back — especially for those staying near the airport.

We’ve mapped 12 miles of the 15-mile trail. The attached trail map covers the 8 miles between 167th & 295th.
