For a longer run incorporating Savannah’s two largest parks and some of the city’s most historic homes, the Forsyth-Daffin Duo is a great option. The ~6 mile tour starts at the northern end of Forsyth Park and heads 0.5 miles south through the park. Take historic Bull St., to Washington St. and take a left, heading ~1 mile to Daffin Park. There are some great homes along here.
Daffin Park is a 77-acre city park with a swimming pool, a walking trail, fountains, & many sports courts. The flat, sidewalked perimeter around the park is 2 miles. There is also 1.5 rubberized Jogging/Bicycle surface alongide the paved trail, with grassy soccer/rugby fields in the center. It’s 1/3 of a mile around the lake.
To return, use the same streets, or for variety, take Victory Dr., west, and then any south to north street, such as Drayton.
Add-Ons: Full perimeter tour of Forsyth Park is 1.2 miles. There are lovely residential streets just south of Forsyth Park. Or head north of Forsyth into the historic district squares.
