In the Three Forks area of the Gallatin Valley, there are 12 miles of paved trails running to both the Headwaters State Park and the Jefferson River’s Droulliard Fishing Access. Three Forks is located 30 miles northwest of Bozeman. There are views of the surrounding mountains and grasslands, as the trails wind around ponds and through old growth cottonwood trees.

One popular run is the ~6 miles from Three Forks to Headwaters State Park, using the path along Frontage Rd. and then heading north. At Headwaters, there are additional spur trails and some hiking/trail running options. 

Another option from Three Forks is to head west toward the Jefferson River, ~2 miles for Once there Another spur runs north towards Missouri Headwaters State Park where it meets several hiking trails.
