The Riverwalk Greenway is the go-to running option in Pigeon Forge. The paved multi-use path runs across the town for 3.3 miles, between the High School, over the Island in Pigeon Forge, to Patriot Park. A good part of the path is along the Pigeon Forge River. Bonus: Trail is lit at night!
Our mapped route starts at Patriot Park, with the 1/2 mile loop around the Patriot Park Walkway. Then, join the Riverwalk Greenway trail just north of there, off Butler St. Following the trail on the east side of the river, head north, passing the Tourist Information Center to the Island in Pigeon Forge, with its iconic ferris wheel. Continue along the river, crossing the Parkway, to the High School area & Pigeon Forge Public Library.

Pro Tip: The Island and main part of Pigeon Forge is magically lit up during the Winterfest celebration, which runs from November-February. Makes night running in the area a treat! INFORMATION

A neat 5k on a paved multi-use path along the West Prong Little Pigeon River in Sevierville, located 7 miles north of Pigeon Forge. For a longer run, access from downtown, where there's also a short multi-use trail.
An easy wooded trail that's a nice introduction to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It's 3.3 miles out and back and can also be easily accessed from downtown Gatlinburg.
A couple of running options in Great Smoky Mountains National Park near Gatlinburg: Greenbrier Cove, along the the Little Pigeon River; and Cades Cove Loop Road, a very scenic 11-mile loop, which is closed to cars on Wednesdays in season!
