Sevierville Greenway

Sevierville, located 7 miles north of Pigeon Forge, is a visitor location as a gateway to Great Smoky National Park and the attractions in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. For runners, the best option is the Sevierville Greenway, a paved multi-use path that runs along the West Prong Little Pigeon River. Overall, it’s a neat 5k out and back. The path can also be accessed from downtown.

From the trailhead off Rivertrail Ln., run for 0.6 miles north along the east bank of the river. At W Main St., cross over to the western side and run south for 0.8 miles.

Downtown Add-On: Take Prince St. headed west, cross the Parkway onto Rivertrail Ln. to access the Greeneay. Adds 1 mile in each direction. There’s also a short multi-use path downtown that goes for 0.6 miles between Eastgate Rd. and Main St.

Essentials
  • 3.1 miles (5 km) out and back; Downtown access can add ~1.5 miles each way
  • Greenway is flat
  • Off Rivertrail Ln. or W Main St. Can also access from downtown
  • Access off Rivertrail Ln. near downtown, or at northern end trailhead off W Main St.
