Laval is a city of 400,00 set on Île Jésus, across the Prairies River from Montreal. There are several great places to run in Laval:

Mercy Park. Google Street View

Mercy Park/Parc Bernard-Landry. Lovely run combining two parks on either side of the Prairies River. Mercy Park features a 2 km multi-use path along the river. Then, cross the\ Perry Island Bridge, do a short loop of Perry Island, and enjoy a 2.5 km loop around the scenic trails of the mainly forested Parc Bernard-Landry. Overall, an 8 km run! ROUTE MAP

Route Verte. A 10 km paved cycle path runs north-south through Laval, between the Gare Concordes light rail station and Av. des Terraces, nearly connecting the Prairies and Mille Îles rivers. ROUTE MAP

Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles. This lovely park in the western part of Laval along the Rivière des Mille Îles is popular for its trails and water-based activities. There are 2 km of scenic trails along the river between the park and the Berge des Baigneurs nature preserve.
