Chambly is a Montreal suburb in the Montérégie region, inland from the South Shore of the Saint Lawrence River. The best place to run in Chambly is around the historic Fort de Chambly, built in 1665, and then the path along the Chambly Canal, which empties into the Richelieu River. Pro tip: fun cafes and a brewery in the area for a post-run treat!

Start in the parking area of the Fort de Chambly. You can put together ~2.5 km on the paths around the fort, and then on the path along the Chambly Basin to Parc Martel. Then, run south on the gravel path lining the Chambly Canal, enjoying the nice water views. It’s possible to run for ~10 km to Sainte-Thérèse, or ~18 km to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, on a dedicated path.
