About 20 km south of Bari, there’s some nice waterfront running in Mola di Bari. ‘Mola’, as it is known, is part of the metro area of Bari.
One can run for ~3-4 km one-way from near the Wonder Beach Club north to Mola, where there are a couple of piers around a marina and to a lighthouse that make for an extra jaunt. The southern section of the route is more of a firm sand path along the beach, while the section right in Mola is a wide, paved seafront promenade (lungomare). There are lovely views out to the Adriatic and the historic section of Mola.
Add-On: Just inland from the Lungomare, take Via Colombo Cristoforo past the Castello Angioino to the large Piazza XX Settembre and do a jaunt around the large statue/fountain.
