The greater Naha area contains about 2/3 of Okinawa’s population. One of our favorite running routes in Naha is to combine Onoyama Park and Manko Park. This will produce a 7-8 km run of nice variety, with park paths, waterfront paths, and a running track. Can also make this a loop around Man Lake and add with paths along the Naha River. PRO TIP: Manko Park is popular for its cherry blossoms, which bloom mid-January to mid-February.

Onoyama Park is mainly an athletics park, with an outdoor pool, tennis courts, and paths. There’s an athletic track, a ~1 km rubber running track with markers every 200m, and a marked 2 km running track around the park. Then, use either the Kita-Meiji Bridge or the Road 221 bridge to cross the water to Manko Park on the Kohagura Side. There’s a cycle path from the Kita-Meiji Bridge to Manko Park.

Manko Park is a lovely park for running, with tree-lined paths and a running track along Man Lake, plus other athletic facilities. A loop around the paths of Manko Park is ~4 km.

Man Lake Loop & Naha River. For a longer run, take the Haryu Bridge across Man Lake. There’s a good pedestrian path and great views. You can continue on a decent sidewalk along the Naha River for ~0.8 km. Retrace your steps and take the Toyomi-ohashi Bridge, connecting to the Kyohara Side of Manko Park.  This is a ~5.4 km loop.
