Gorica Park, also known as Gorica Hill, is one of the preferred places for a run in Podgorica. It’s located just a few minutes from the center of the city, and functions as Podgorica’s ‘green lungs’. The terrain is mainly forested, and is a great option on a hot day. There are two important sites in the park: St. George Church, near the park gates; and the Mausoleum to Fallen Partisan Fighters,  dedicated to the thousands who perished during World War II.

Overall, there are 4-5 km of paths in park — including a paved cycle path that’s nearly 2 km, and then some wider and more rugged forest trails. A loop of the perimeter path is ~2.5 km.

Just north of Gorica Park is Zlatička šuma, a park with a running track. The track isn’t a traditional track, rather it’s an easy, nearly 2 km path around the park that’s marked as a running track. NOTE: There’s not a great pedestrian connection between Gorica Park and Zlatička šuma.

Add-Ons: For a longer run, combine with our Morača River & Parks route, which is just 0.5 km from Gorical Park.
