Quiet Waters Park is the largest park in Annapolis and the best one for a longer run. This pretty, 340-acre park features art pavilions, a small lake, and formal gardens. Rather than create a specific route, we recommend doing your own run on the 6 miles of trails. From the Visitor Center, it’s 1 mile to the northern end of the park, and about a 2-3 mile loop on the trails south toward the river. There are wooded sections, open meadows, and some shoreline sections. Note: If driving to the park, there’s a parking fee.
Add-Ons: The Hillsmere Shores east of the park and the Harness Woods neighborhood just west of the park are nice neighborhoods for running, featuring quiet residential roads.
