Located in the southern part of Sandy’s Parish, Hog Bay Park is a popular spot for runners. There’s a pleasant network dirt/sand trails around the 32 acre park, adding up to about 1 mile of fairly hilly running. It’s fairly wooded and is a good shade option on a hot day. At the western edge of the park is secluded, pretty Hog Bay Beach, which might be obscured at high tide. Note: Be careful about poison ivy.
For a longer run, join the Railway Trail, which comes off the park just off Middle Rd. at the eastern edge of the park.
