Features:
Running on the downtown streets of Cedar Rapids isn’t great. The roads are very wide and aren’t very scenic. Instead, we recommend running in the Wellington Heights area, which is ~1 mile east of downtown. It’s a pleasant residential area for running, including a couple of designated historic districts. We recommend anchoring around Redmont Park. 2nd. Ave, 3rd Ave., Grand Ave., and Blake Blvd. are nice east-west streets. Also, decent running on the north-south streets from 15th St.-19th St.
Essentials
- Can do several miles along the streets we recommend
- Wellington Heights area. Redmond Park a good anchor point
- ~1 mile east of downtown. Can use 2nd Ave. or 3rd Ave.
