The Prairie Saint Gildas (Meadowland) is the other scenic, centrally located route in Châteauroux. It can be run standalone as a 5-6 km route, or combined with part or all of the Belle-Isle lakes & Chenevieres Ecopark route.
The Prairie Saint Gildas is a 25 hectare area, with a series of mainly dirt trails around the Indre River and wetlands. There are numerous trails for you to create your own route. It’s a ~3.5 km loop around the main Prairie area, starting on All. des Rives de l’Indre. For a nearly 6 km run, add another 1 km east of the Vallée d’Ebbes along the Indre River, looping back on a trail skirting the north side of the Hippodrome.
Add-On: Can be combined with our Parc Belle-Isle & lake route.
