Bosque Protector Cerro Blanco

City life isn’t for everyone, so if you’re looking for an escape from central Guayaquil, look no further than the Bosque Protector Cerro Blanco (bosque=woods). This strip of protected forest on the western outskirts of the city has plenty of runnable trails to choose from. Our favorite option is the “biciruta” bike path, a wide dirt lane encircling the park. The half-circle bike path is 1.5 km, although it can be combined with the low-traffic dirt roads in the park for a loop of 2.15 km or 2.5 km. The terrain is mainly wooded.

The Bosque is located 17 km west of Guayaquil.
