Visitors to Tuần Châu Island will find some decent running options. Tuần Châu Island has become a key tourist destination for those visiting the Ha Long area. Reached by a 2 km bridge that was constructed in 1998, the palm-covered island features two man-made beaches. sea shows, a golf club, and numerous guest accommodations.
Beach & Bridge Route
The must-do run on Tuần Châu is a nearly 8 km out & back route that includes Bãi tắm Beach and the bridge connecting the island with the mainland. Starting at the beach, there’s a short pedestrian path headed north. It’s also possible to run in the beach, depending on the sand conditions. Continue north, on a combination of pedestrian paths & road (decent sidewalk) — note that the road/path along the water is under development. Then, enjoy the 2 km bridge crossing, which features wide sidewalks and great views. Pass through the Cổng Tuần Châu — a large archway that’s sort of a gateway to the island.
Marina Route
It’s also possible to run around the marina down to Bay View Beach. The marina is a busy spot, with cafés, souvenir shops, and daily entertainment shows. Running along the marina is a work in progress. There are some nice sections of marina-side paths, while other sections are under development. Overall, it’s ~4.5 km around the entire marina. Bay View Beach is 1 km long. The sand tends to be a bit soft for running.
