Xixi National Wetland Park is a beautiful natural site in Hangzhou and a good place for a scenic run. The 10 km² park is one of the most popular visitor sites in Hanzhou, known for its waterways, causeways, aquatic grasslands, flowers, and fishing villages. There are many quiet roads and paths in the park that are suitable for jogging. Note there are also some wooden boardwalks and cobblestone roads that are not as run-friendly.
Xixi Wetland Park is divided into divided into east, central, and west sections. The east part is the main tourist area, comprising Hazy Fisher Village, Anchorage Thatching, Deep Pool Mouth, Xixi Plum Villa. Plum and Bamboo Manor, & Xixi Water Atti. A few recommended running routes:
East-West Path. At the southern end of the park, there’s a path that runs between Southeast Gate 1 and the National Wetland Museum. Scenery is a mix of lush tree canopy and some wetland views. It’s 3.7 km one-way, on a mostly paved, easy running surface.
Longer Options: Add the Longevity (Shoudi) Causeway near the Southeast 1 Gate. Or, at the ~2 km mark headed east (Fudi Bridge), connect to the 2.3 km Fudi Causeway (there are also some paths on the south side of the Fudi Bridge).
West Side Waterway Run. From the Southeast 1 Gate, head north on paths along the waterway for ~1.6 km, crossing several bridges: Zhile, Qiyuan, Ciyue, Dachi. Can connect to other trails, or add the Shoudi Causeway, just west of the Southeas 1 Gate.

Fudi (Fu) Causeway: A north-south causeway through the park. It’s 2.3 km from the North Gate to the Fudi Bridge, featuring 6 bridges.
Green (Lvdi) Causeway: Runs for 1.5 km through the middle of the park from Xiangu Bridge east to the Ticket Office at Zijin’gang Rd. Features the Xixi Wetland Plants Garden, known for its aquatic grasses and wildflowers.
Longevity (Shoudi) Causeway: 3.6 km one-way, with good views of waterways and a century-old wooden wharf.

The signature run in Hangzhou. Extensive network of paths around the lake and across dramatic causeways. Fabulous water views, lovely waterfront parks historical pagodas, cultural sites, tea fields, & scenic hills. Full lake loop is 12.5 km, and numerous other options.
Pleasant running along the Qiantang River, with options along both the north and south banks. Great water & skyline views. North bank: 16+ km between the Pengbu Br. (S2) and the Quiantangjiang Br. South Bank: 8.4 km between the Xixing Br. and the Quiantangjiang Br. Can use Fuxing Bridge to cross.
Some 10 km of tree-shaded paths along the historic Grand Canal in Hangzhou, a UNESCO heritage site. A favorite route is from the Gongchen Bridge in the charming Xiaohe Historic Cultural District to Wulin Square. Add-on spur possible along the Yuhangtang River.
