Features:
This is not a full-on ‘runseeing’ tour of Kaohsiung City, but this 5-mile loop incorporates several small parks and some interesting sites in the central part of the city. And it’s mainly off-road!
We start with a 1 km loop of Central Park (stairs/escalators to access), which features a lake, fountain & shaded walking paths. Then, head west toward the harbor for 1 km using Wufu 3rd Rd. (not that pleasant) or any of the side roads. The next 2 km are south along the harbor, on a path paralleling Haibian Road, past the Exhibition Center and the Singuang Riverside Park, turning LEFT on Fuxing 4th Rd., passing The Space of Thought Particles. Here, there are two options. The main run turns LEFT, heading north along the path paralleling Chenggong 2nd Road. [For longer, can continue south on the path for another 1.5 km one-way.] Run back to the park, and then head up through the park-like median of Xinguang Rd., passing the Kaohsiung Main Public Library and the famous 85 Sky Tower. For the final ~1 km, we suggest the smaller Renzhi Street, a typical smaller street of Kaohsiung City.
Longer Options: Continue for 1.5 km further south along the Chenggong 2nd Road path. Or, join our Love River or Harbor runs.
