Atlantic City is a resort town along New Jersey’s Atlantic Coast, known for its casinos, beaches, and historic boardwalk. The heart of running in Atlantic City is on the iconic Boardwalk, which runs from the casino area south for 5.8 miles to Margate City. The wide, 8-mile beach is also runnable, particularly near the water. The other best places to run in the Atlantic City area are some pleasant residential side streets off Atlantic Ave. (particularly in the Margate area), and the Somers Point Bike Path, which runs from Pleasantville through Northfield, Linwood, and Somers Point.
