Pristina, Kosovo

Pristina is the capital and largest city of Kosovo. It’s also the country’s commercial and trade center. There are some decent options for running in Pristina, mainly centered on the center city’s small parks and the extensive Gërmia Park just outside town.

A great way to start is with our Pristina ‘Runseeing’ Tour, which includes the pedestrianized Mother Teresa Blvd. Pristina Park, & other key city sites. Gërmia Park is the best place to runn Pristina, with 150+ km of mainly forested paths and trails — something for every type of runner!

Runner Notes: Winters can be cold with some snow. Also note that there can be water shortages in Pristina.

Pristina has an oceanic climate, with pleasant, warm summers and cool to cold winters. In summer, average high temperatures are in the 26-27C (low 80sF) range, and nights cool down. Autumn is delightful and fresh. Winter temps average just above freezing during the day and just below it at night. There can be snow. Pristina averages only 600mm (23 inches) of annual precipitation, fairly evenly spread throughout the year.

Stay in the center city for access to our ‘runseeing’ tour. Lots of hotels there. There aren’t really many hotels near Gërmia Park, but it’s not fat from the city center.
