Gërmia Park, located only a few km east of Pristina city center, is a huge green space with something for all running abilities. The 62 sq km park has more than 150 km of mainly forested trails, and the terrain is fairly mountainous. There are some easier trails for a general run, and also hiking trails that offer trail running ranging from easy to more challenging. The park has other facilities, such as a large natural outdoor pool, and is also popular for nordic skiing in winter.

For an easier run, there some easier, partially paved multi-use trails closer to the park entrance near Sofali, as well as some dirt/gravel trails with easier footing and a gentler elevation gain. Good options here include the ~8 km Gërmia Path AK, and the 9k “Health Trail” (Shtegu i Shëndetit on the map) which is a smoother forest loop around the park. Then there’s all sorts of options for more challenging, rugged trail running. This TRAIL MAP is a helpful resource

There’s a popular trail running event every September in Gërmia Park.
