Jahanpanah City Forest

One of the larger natural areas in New Delhi, and a great option for those in the south east area of the city (GK-2 M Block market), Jahanpanah City Forest offers running loops of up to 7 km. The natural scenery is a respite from the busy inner city, and under the heavy cover of the forest runners will get a little break from the heat. The surface alternates between gravel roads, dirt trails, and paved walkways, with plenty of rolling hills, twists, and turns to keep even the most antsy runner interested. We’ve classified this as ‘trail running’, but there are options for all abilities here. Note: Specific opening hours.

Most runners start out from the main entry gate off Alaknanda Don Bosco Road. Once inside the park, run either clockwise or counter-clockwise. There are many cross-paths where runners can shorten the route if they so desire. There’s a marked ‘jogging track’ with markers every 200m.
