Seaside Path: Park Yunist to Cape Velsky

Google Street View

This route features the more southern beaches in Odessa. There’s a quite nice seaside promenade path along the water a good part of the way from Beach 8 (Plyazh 8) south to Cape Velsky, passing several public beaches. There are lovely views to the beach and Black Sea, and some fun restaurants and cafes along the way. Starting near Beach 8 at Park Yunist, it’s ~ 5 km to Zolotyi Beach, and another 1.5 km along a runnable path/road to Cape Velsky, passing the elegant Grande Pettine Hotel.

Longer Run: It’s possible to combine this with the ‘Health Path‘ route between Arcadia Beach and Lazheron Beach. It’s about a ~2 km road connection between Park Yunist and Arcadia Beach.

Essentials
  • ~5 km one-way from Park Yunist to Zolotyi Beach, and another ~1.5 km to Cape Velsky
  • 118 feet (36m) for one-way route, headed south
  • Park Yunist or Beach 8
