There are three multi-use paths, all terrific for running, easily accessible from downtown Oshawa. Use King St./Broad St. as anchors.

Oshawa Creek Bike Path is the signature trail, starting at the Botanical Gardens and heading south toward Lake Ontario for up to 6.3 km, through a series of parks. ROUTE

Michael Starr Trail. This paved path runs in two sections and is mainly a bike path downtown passing through several parks. A southern section starts at Edward Ave. and runs for 1.3 km to the Tribute Communities Centre Arena. Then there’s an 0.5 km on-road section through downtown. Just north of Bond St., follow the bike path along Division St. for 0.6 km, turn RIGHT on Adelaide St., and then rejoin the Michael Starr Trail headed north, for 3 km, passing through Connaught Park, Centennial Park, Northway Court Park, to the northern terminus near North Oshawa Park. Some nice add-on paths in the poarks.

Harmony Creek Trail. Just east of the Michael Starr Trail, the Harmony Creek Trail makes for a cool off-road 5-miler in central Oshawa. The paved multi-use trail runs from Knights of Columbus Park (just south of King St). to North Oshawa for 4 km, terminating near Attersley Park. The trail, which runs along the narrow Harmony Creek, is a mix of woods, parks, and residential neighborhoods. 8 km/5 miles out and back.

Add-Ons: One could easily mix & match these trails. The Waterfront Trail connects to the Oshawa Creek Trail at Lakeview Park.
