If you’re looking for some friendly running competition in Port Elizabeth, check out Parkrun, a free 5k that takes place on Saturday mornings. There are four parkrun locations around Port Elizabeth, including:
Sardinia Bay: To the southwest of Port Elizabeth, this zig-zagging course begins from Heron Road. MAP & INFO.
Hobie Beach: This course roughly follows our Port Elizabeth Waterfront route, but Parkrun is a good opportunity to test your chops against others. MAP & INFO.
Lady Slipper: It’s a bit off the beaten path, but this run through forested trails is worth the 30 minute drive from Port Elizabeth. MAP & INFO.
Wells Estate: A loop around the sands of Bluewater Beach is a great run any day of the week. This route also incorporates the 4 km asphalt bike path reaching to St. Georges Strand. MAP & INFO.
