Saint John, New Brunswick

Little River Reservoir Park

Another choice running route for residents and visitors in the eastern reaches of Saint John is the pretty gravel “Rez Trail” encircling the Little River Reservoir. The main circuit around the glistening body of water is either 3.5 km or 4 km long, depending on which path runners use to connect to the Pipeline Road trail. The main parking area, complete with a playground and portable toilet, is at the junction of Loch Lamond Road and Pipeline Road, though the trail can also be accessed by spurs off Fish Hatchery Lane, Latimore Lake Road, and Likely Road. The Graham Brook Trail (.6 km) and the Peninsula Trail (1.4 km) can add an extra bit of distance. No matter where you start, the easy trail is a pleasant route across waterfront, marshes, and forests.

The park is 8 km northeast of Saint John.
