Just south of Jinji Lake, there’s some nice running along Dushu Lake. A network of park-like paths runs along the east side of the lake for some 6.5 km. The lakeside route is not 100% seamless along the water, and some of it is on dirt paths across fields of lakeside parks. Just inland from the lake is Soochow University Dushuhu Campus, which has a good network of pedestrian paths that are nice for running.
We start the route at a running track on the University campus, off Duhushu Blvd. There’s another running track off Wenjing Rd. in the heart of campus. Then, head east toward the lake on university paths or one of the main roads. The north end of the lake paths is at the Suzhou Dushu Lake Library. Head south along the paths, enjoying the good lake views. Pass by the Dushu Lake Christian Church and the Worldhotel Grand Hotel into Dushu Park. The south side of the paths is at a parking lot just north of Dongfang Blvd.
