This rail-trall, opened in 2024, is a great addition to the Portsmouth running scene. The crushed stone surface path runs inland for 8 miles from Portsmouth south to North Hampton. Mix of woods & open space. Plans to extend further south.
Favorite running options in the charming village of Quechee: covered bridge and quiet route along Lake Pinneo; and Old River Rd. in Taftsville. Also some great hill running options on quiet roads around the ski area and above Rt. 4.
In the 20 km stretch between Torrevieja and San Pedro del Pinatar, there are several scenic coastal paths/waterfront promenades. From north to south, we've mapped routes in Torrevieja, Punta Prima, Oriheula, and Torre De La Horadada.
There's fantastic running at this 856 hectare 'wetland of international importance'. There are 15+ km of trails around reed beds, salt ponds, salt pans, pine forests, dunes, and beaches, including 6 km of Mediterranean coastline. Keep an eye out for flamingos!
Gulshan Iqbal Park is a good running option in the Sabzazar area of Lahore. The 67-acre green space features a well-maintained jogging track, ~2 km loop. In Sabzazar, options include the several small 'block parks' and the LDA Sports Complex.
Some options for running in the area of the Hannover Messe convention center, south of the city. We've mapped a route combining pleasant, pastoral paths in the Parc Agricole, parks, a running track, and the Bockmerholz Nature Preserve.
A multi-use path passing through three parks and around two lakes in Babylon: Belmont Lake State Park, Southards Pond Park, and Argyle Park. The full out and back route is 8 miles, including the lake loops. Mainly wooded, with some water views.
Concrete rail-trail follows the A-Train train line between Lewisville and Denton. Not the most scenic, but a good way to clock some off-road miles! Passes through Highland Village, Lake Dallas, and Corinth.
Lovely running along the Oria River in Orio, located 17 km west of San Sebastián. Quiet road/path with nice river views. Optional add-on of hilly path above the bay, featuring spectacular views.
