In central Tunis, there are three ‘highlights’ that can be combined for runs of various lengths. The centerpiece is Belvedere Park, which has 3-4 km of nicely landscaped trails. Enjoy a few laps around a running track at Stade Chedly Zouiten across Av. Stade. You could also the d’El Menzah Sports Complex, which is 1.5 km away, and features paths, fields, and a running track.

Passage & Belvedere Park Route: For a longer run, we’ve created a nearly 11 km loop including the central Le Passage area of central Tunis. Start at the Bourguiba Clocktower. Run on the pedestrianized Avenue Habib Bourguiba (referred by travel guides as the Tunisian Champs-Élysées), then RIGHT on Ave Habib Thameur to the small, pleasant Al Habib Thamer Park. Run through the park. For the next 1.5 km to Belvedere Park, turn LEFT on busy Av. Madrid/Béchir Sfar. Do a loop around the lovely landscaped paths of Belvedere Park, and then then on the running track For the return, use the wide Av. Mohamed 5, an important street passing numerous sites. It’s 2 km back to the start.
Other Options: Use Av. Mohamed 5 as the main connector between downtown/Le Passage and Belvedere Park. Or just to Belvedere and the track, or add the Sports Complex.

The path along the north side of the Lake of Tunis is one of the best places to run in Tunis. Run for up to 5.4 km along the water in the affluent Berges du Lac neighborhood. All off-road and nice water views the whole way.
A wonderful run in the cobbled neighborhood of Sidi Bou Said, including a waterfront promenade, jaunt around the marina, famous 365 Steps, Ennejma Ezzahra Palace, and the lovely Parc de Sidi Bou Saïd.
A 'runseeing' tour of the historical archaeological site of Carthage, located 15 km northeast of Tunis. Includes the Punic Ports, Brisa Hill, Parc Montazah de Carthage, and the main Archaeological Site of Carthage.
A nice green spot for some hilly path and trail running 10 km north of Tunis. There's a paved pedestrian path and a more rugged north-south trail. Combination of wooded and hilly terrain. Good shade spot when hot!
