At 12 miles, the Gore Creek Trail is a useful connector between Vail’s central villages, bordering the waterway of the same name. It runs on a combination of attached and detached bike lanes, with some sections on wide sidewalks of residential streets. To the west, it connects to the Eagle Valley Trail, and to the east with the Vail Pass Trail. The entire trail is good for running, but the section straight through downtown — cutting through the galleries of Meadow Drive and out to the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens — is especially nice.
