This popular resort area to the north of Marrakech has some of the finest road running in the city. If you’re staying in one of the hotels here, it’s an ideal addition to the grounds right outside your door, and car traffic in this area is relatively light. In addition to extravagant resorts, runners will find an oasis of desert palm trees where camels lounge in the shade. To create a loop, a great addition is the road along the east bank of the Oued Issil. The loop in full is about 10 km.

Run the garden-lined median of Boulevard Mohammed VI, which runs 8 km between Chamo El Ghoul and Agdal. Add on loops of Oliveraie Park, Menara Gardens, or Cyber Park for more distance.

Take a long run of up to 18 km on the wide dirt path outside the time-tested Medina Walls. It’s a good way to explore the historic old city while avoiding the crowds, and can be shortened by passing back through any gate.
A prize section of the Walls of Medina, or a great run on its own, the grounds of the Agdal Gardens feature over 10 km of pathways through orchards. Continue on Oasis Hassan II/ Route Golf Royal for a longer loop.
