“Sesqui” is an attractive state park located in the northeast of Columbia. There are a number of trails spanning through this forested area, and almost all of them are suitable for running. One of the most popular choices is the 3.5 mile Loop Trail, which begins from the Retreat Center. It’s a wide dirt double-track with a multitude of wildflowers and birds. The 2-mile Sandhills Hiking Trail is another easy option, with lots of bouncy boardwalks. There’s also a 6 mile bike trail, but be aware that it’s popular with speedy mountain bikers.
