In the heart of Palm Desert is a pleasant 3-4 mile run combining Civic Center Park and the campus of the adjacent College of the Desert. Civic Center Park is Palm Desert’s largest park, sitting in the center of town with the Visitor Center at its southwest end. There’s ~1 mile of paved path through the park, and some additional fields. The park also includes tennis courts and a large public swimming pool!

We recommend combining the park with the adjacent College of the Desert. There are some decent paths through the campus, or you can do a ~1.3 mile loop around the College of the Desert campus road. At the south end of Civic Center Park/College of the Desert, there’s a decent bike path/sidewalk along Magnesia Falls Dr., which runs for ~1 mile between Monterey Ave. & Magnesia Falls Park.
