The East River Trail is one of several multi-use trails running along the water in the Green Bay area. This narrow, paved multi-use path follows the East River headed south from Green Bay, through the communities of Green Bay, Bellevue, Allouez, DePere and Ledgeview. It’s nearly 9 miles one-way. The trail is mainly wooded, though there are some nice sections with water views.
Starting at City Stadium off N Baird St. (running track!), head south, along the east bank of the river. The first 2 miles pass through several parks. The trail has some inland sections between miles 2 and 5, crossing to the west side at Green Isle Park (~mile 5). Miles 5-7 are along the west bank, to Allouez Wiese Park. Miles 7-9 are more inland.
Add-Ons: Additional trails in Green River Park, Allouez Park. Can also combine with the Baird Creek Trail, which connects to the East River Trail at mile 0.3.
