Up to 8 miles of running along the Cedar River, combining the Ellis Trail & Cedar River Trail. Paved multi-use paths, with some nice water views & additional parks along the way. Cedar River Trail continues south to Ely.
Longer distance multi-use path that travels for nearly 70 miles between Evansdale and Ely. There's a nice ~6 mile section in Cedar Rapids, which can include the 1.6-mile Cedar Lake Loop. A nice mix of terrain -- riverfront, wetlands, woodlands, and farmlands.
One of our favorite runs in Cedar Rapids. Lovely crushed limestone path runs for 7 miles along the Cedar River & Indian Creek through parks a nature preserve. Mainly wooded with some open terrain. Can add with scenic lake loop at Prairie Park Fishery.
The best neighborhood running in Cedar Rapids is the Wellington Heights area, just east of downtown. Pleasant residential streets and a couple of historic districts around Redmond Park.
