The route along the waterfront boardwalk is the easiest, most scenic, and festive run in Thessaloniki. You’ll be running along the Thermaic Gulf, at the northwest corner of the Aegean Sea. There’s a wide & wonderful boardwalk that runs for 4.4 km from the MOMus Pier, just north of Aristotelous Square, south to the end of the Garden of Remembrance at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall. There are water views the whole way, and a festive scene. Key landmarks along the way, headed south:

1.1 km: White Tower
1.5 km: Alexander the Great Garden
1.8 km: The Umbrellas Sculpture by Zogolopoulos
2.3 km: Pier of Makedonia Palace/Garden of Remembrance

Here, the gardens continue for ~2 km, with some additional interior paths. At the end of the official boardwalk (4.4 km) at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, it’s possible to continue for another ~1 km on a less improved waterfront path around the concert hall and swimming center. Go for a post-run dip!
