This is a ‘runseeing’ tour of Tashkent that hits the main sites and central parks: Amir Temur Square, Pakhtakor Central Stadium/running track, and City Park. A longer route includes Eco Park.
City Park. Creative Commons
Start at the impressive Amir Temur Square, where one can can do a ~1.4 km loop around its fountains and esplanades. Then, take the pedestrian-only Sailgokh St. west. RIGHT on Buyuk Turon to Navoi Ave. You can explore the Independence Square area, then continue across the small river to Pakhtakor St., which is used to access the Central Stadium. Do a loop around the stadium’s perimeter and the excellent running track adjacent. Continue west to Tashkent City Park, where there are paths & outdoor sculptures (also nicely lit at night). In all, this is 6.2 km one-way.
Add-On: Eco Park is 1.4 km east of Amir Temur Sq., (use Taraqqiyot St. or Ovozi St.), with 1-2 km of lovely paths. Just west of there is Mirzo Ulugbek Recreation Park, though the crossing from Eco Park is challenging.

Another 'runseeing' tour in central Tashkent, focused on the Independence Square area, waterfront paths, and paths/sidewalks along Abdulla Kadiry St. & Navoi Ave. Full route is 13 km but can be shortened or mix & matched with our other Tashkent tour.
In the Chilanzar District in the southern part of Tashkent, one can stitch together a ~5k run combining pleasant paths of Gafur Gulyam Recreation Park with paths around Milliy Stadium.
A pleasant run in the Yunusabad District in northeastern Tashkent, combining paths around the Japanese Garden/Expo Centre area and paths around Shahidlar Square and the Museum of Political Repression & Memorial. ~8k and mostly off-road.
A pleasant green space for a run in the far eastern part of Tashkent. The 66-hectare garden dates back to 1920 and features 6000 species and varieties of plants. 5-6 km of paths and a great shaded option on a hot day!
