Lac Du Bois Grasslands Protected Area

Only a 15-minute drive from Kamloops, the Lac Du Bois Grasslands Protected Area is a scenic spot for hiking/trail running. It’s a large area, featuring 20+ km of trails through a varied landscape that includes sweeping grassland vistas, cliffs and canyons, ponds and small lakes. There are also some wooded sections featuring ponderosa pines and aspens. In spring, there can be some lovely wildflowers.

Generally, this is an area for hiking and moderate to challenging trail running. The trails can be narrow, hilly, and feature some challenging footing.
