This ‘runseeing’ tour of Novi Sad has a nice amount of variety: the historic centre, riverside paths, two parks, the campus of Novi Sad University, and the option for two running tracks! We should also add that runners can also add with or create their own route on the city’s wide boulevards, which, even though they’re busy with multiple lanes of traffic, feature wide sidewalks.

We start at Liberty Square, enjoying a loop around the wide plaza and City Hall. Use Zmaj Jovina as the main connector through the Old City (Stari Grad), which is a commercial street but passes two of the Church of the Holy Name of Mary and St. George’s Cathedral. Do a loop of Dunavski Park, the main city park, and then take the mainly pedestrianized Dunavaska St. toward the river.

Run south along the Danube River path (Sunčani kej) for 2.75 km. After 0.8 km, the path cuts through the campus of Novi Sad University, passing by a running track the 3.2k mark. At the 4.5k mark, RIGHT on Kineska četvr to access Limanski Park in the Liman neighborhood, which features wide paths and pleasant gardens. We then do a loop around some of the University’s main campus paths, accessing another running track at at the Vojvodina sports center. Use Železnička to return to the center.

Add-Ons: More riverside pat, or run along some of the city’s wide boulevards.
