This is a scenic waterfront along Bãi Cháy Beach in the eastern part of Hạ Long. Bãi Cháy is a popular tourist area, and is connected to Hòn Gai, the western part of Hạ Long by a cable-strayed bridge. The wide Kỳ Quan road runs along the beach for 3.5 km and features a wide, palm-lined waterfront path featuring nice water views.
The eastern end of the route is near the Sun Marina, and the western end is at The Pearl Convention Hall. This makes for an easy, flat 7 km out & back. The entire route is along Bãi Cháy Beach. It’s a wide, popular beach — not terrific for running as the sand is soft. From the downtown Bãi Cháy hotel zone, it’s 0.5 km to Kỳ Quan Road, using one of numerous streets off Hạ Long Road.
