New Canaan is a lovely, upscale town located an hour from NYC and considered part of Connecticut’s Gold Coast. Some of the nicest running in New Canaan is along quiet residential streets passing the area’s beautiful homes.
Another favorite for running is the the 250-acre Waveny Park, which features several fields, recreational facilities, 3.5 miles of trails, and a running track. There’s also a Performing Arts Center, The Carriage Barn, Community Center, and The Waveny Lodge. There are two marked loop trails: a 1.8 mile Perimeter Trail and a 1 mile Meadow and Pond Trail.
Add-Ons: Enjoy the lovely neighborhood streets of New Canaan, with its many spectacular homes. There are some nice, quiet streets adjacent to the park. Old Stamford Rd. is a good choice, as it has a sidewalk and nice homes,
