The trail along Clear Lake is a new addition to the West Palm Beach running scene! In 2024, a new multi-use trail was added along the west side of Clear Lake, running 1.6 miles between Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. & Okeechobee Blvd. The path is away from busy roads, so it’s bucolic and features nice views of Clear Lake. The trail includes a 700-foot boardwalk section. You can make this a ~5k out & back. It’s also possible to make this a longer run and even do the full 4.6 mile lake loop.
Full Lake Loop Option
For the longer option, at Okeechobee Blvd., head east for 0.5 miles. It’s a very busy road, but there’s a decent sidewalk along the lake. Then, turn left along Australian Ave., and run north for 1 mile. This is also a very busy road, but there’s an adequate sidewalk for running and nice lake views. The final 1.6 miles to complete the loop is not along the lake. You’ll use the quiet residential streets through Roosevelt Estates to get back to Palm Beach Lakes Blvd.
