About 6km northeast of downtown Dartmouth, Shubie Park is a large park, similar to Point Pleasant Park in Halifax. Slightly larger and more rugged. There are numerous activities in the park, from camping to kayaking and canoeing. There is an extensive series of trails, with a good variety of terrain. The trails also connect to a larger greenway system, especially heading south of the park.
