Lalbagh Gardens

The 240 acre Lalbach, located in the southern part of the city, is an urban oasis and a treat for running. There are gorgeous botanical gardens, a lake, a topiary garden, two glass houses, rocky surfaces for uphill runs and a dedicated path just for runners. The park is free for running from 6am-9am and 6pm-7pm (after that it’s Rs. 20). A run around the perimeter is about 2 miles (3.2 km), and around the lake is about 1 km. There are a couple of km of interior paths adding up to another 1 mile or so. Really pretty, and runners are accommodated! Easily reachable by bus or metro.

  • About 3.2 km around the perimeter, 1.6 km around lake
