This run is a fun exploration of the historic center of Burgas, using ul. Aleksandrovska as the anchor. This boulevard is mainly pedestrianized and passes by several of Burgas’ historic sites. You can easily combine this with Sea Garden Park (1 km to the east) and waterfront paths.
We recommend running the 1.8 km length of ul. Aleksandrovska. This wide and mostly pedestrian-only street runs from Tsaritsa Yoanna Park near the Train/Bus Station, north to Burgas Free University just across bul. San Stefano. Headed from south to north, you’ll pass The Clock, Pl. Troykata at the Alyosha Monument, and numerous shops & restaurants. At the 0.6 km mark, we detour slightly along ul. Sveti Kiril I Metodi to the Church Saints Cyril and Methodius.
Add-Ons: Run the streets off ul. Aleksandrovska. Most of them are runnable and pleasantly shaded. There are sidewalks, but some are stone and can have an uneven surface. Also, Sea Garden park and the waterfront are 1 km east.
