Plano Running Options

Our recommendations for the best places to run in Plano, a community in far north Dallas, sandwiched between the President George Bush Turnpike and the Sam Rayburn Tollway:

Arbor Hills Nature Preserve. 200-acre wooded nature preserve in West Plano. Runners will enjoy the 3 miles of paved paths and 3 miles of unpaved, pedestrian-only trails.  TRAIL MAP

Bob Woodruff Park and Oak Point Park. Two adjacent parks just east of Highway 75 offer several miles of paved and unpaved trails for running. This trail map of Bob Woodruff Park shows several options for loops, including two small lake loops, and a one-way option of up to 6.1 miles. This trail map shows options for running on the 2.5 miles of ‘soft trails’ (no bikes allowed).  In Oak Point Park, there are several miles of additional trails, shown in this trail map.
