In the southern part of Dover, Brecknock County Park offers a nice opportunity for a short off-road run. The park features trails that are a combination of open and wooded. A full loop of the trails and the park’s main roads is ~3 miles.
For a longer run, we recommend the residential streets in the Camden neighborhood, accessed from the south and eastern part of the park. There’s a running track at Caesar Rodney High School. One can also run in the Rodney Village & Highland Acres neighborhoods, though not as easily accessed due to the not very pedestrian-friendly Highway 13.
