This is a nice run just east of Piotrkowska (Łódź’ main street) through several parks. It’s nearly all on park & connector pedestrian paths, with a few short street connections. Includes Park Źródliska, Park nad Jasieniem, Park Baden-Powella/Park 3 Maja.
Park 3 Maja. CC 1.0
Start in Park Źródliska at the Cinema Museum in off al. Piłsudskiego. This is the city’s oldest park, and features a combination of open & wooded paths, and some gardens (MAP). Our loop of this park’s two sections is ~2.5 km. Exit the south end of Park Źródliska I, crossing Fabryczna, onto a pedestrian path heading east for 0.6 km, crossing the highway, into Park nad Jasieniem, which features paths and a small lake. Exit the north end, crossing Piłsudskiego again, and run north for 0.5 km on al. Szpitalna into Park Baden-Powella, which features some nice gardens. A loop is ~1.3 km. Continue west through the park to the adjacent Park 3 Maja, which is more wooded and features a nice fountain at its west end. For the final 1 km to the start, run south on one of the streets east of the highway back to Park Źródliska.

Run on one of the longest commercial thoroughfares in Europe! The central axis of Łódź is also a major tourist attraction. It's 4.2 km between Liberty Square & Independence Square, much of it pedestrianized. Adjacent parks are good add-ons.
Two classic European parks in central Łódź. Run standalone or combine for 10+ km of lovely paths, allées, & landscaped gardens. Józef Piłsudski Park is larger, with a 'running oval' at its north end. Józef Poniatowski Park is designed in the English style.
A lovely linear park run headed east & north of central Łódź. Start in Park Staromiejski and run through Park Helenów, Park Ocalałych, & Park im. Szarych Szeregów. Lovely paths, gardens, and additional facilities. 7-8 km out & back, with additional paths for more.
Go for a trail run in one of the largest city forests in Europe! Łagiewnicki Forest (Las Łagiewnicki), located 10 km north of Łódź, features many km of wooded trails. There's also the scenic Arturowek Lake at the park's southwestern end.
A smaller, more manageable alternative to Łagiewnicki Forest. Also located in the northern part of Łódź, Okręglik Forest has 4-5 km of heavily forested trails that are good for trail running. Good public transport access.
