Stadtpark and Eppendorf

Stadtpark is another large and beautiful park north of central Hamburg. Runners can put in their mileage with a few loops around the park, or venture out to the Eppendorf neighborhood, with its tree-lined shops, Victorian-era apartments, and paths along the Alster River. Combined with the lakes, rose gardens, and planetarium of Stadtpark, this area is a must-see for runners. For more information on this route, visit joggingroutes.org.

Our route starts at the Eppendorfer Baum train U-Bahn station. Head north along Eppendorfer through this lovely neighborhood, through Kellinghusen Park, and then along Kellinghusenstraße through Haynes Park. Then you’ll be along the Alster River paths, passing the Schnuller Tree museum, then heading east along Efeuweg, past the Sports Complex and back through Stadtpark to complete the loop.
